Question 1

What does this tool actually do?

Accepted Answer

It identifies your business from the domain or name you enter, generates one realistic customer question in your market and language, asks Perplexity, Gemini and ChatGPT that exact question, and shows you their full answers: who gets named, who is cited as a source, and whether your business is mentioned at all.

Question 2

Is one question a reliable measurement?

Accepted Answer

No, and we do not present it as one. It is a real sample: the same kind of question a genuine customer might type into an AI assistant today. AI answers vary by day, by phrasing and by the model version, so a different question or a different day can produce a different result. A full GEO audit tests dozens of such questions before drawing conclusions.

Question 3

Why do the answers change if I run the test again?

Accepted Answer

Perplexity, Gemini and ChatGPT search the web and generate a fresh answer for every request; none of them return a cached, fixed result. The businesses they name depend on what is currently published online and how each model weighs it that day.

Question 4

What do the technical facts at the bottom mean?

Accepted Answer

They show whether the crawlers behind ChatGPT (GPTBot), Claude (ClaudeBot), Google AI (Google-Extended) and Perplexity (PerplexityBot) can access your site, whether you have an llms.txt file pointing AI systems to your key pages, and which schema.org types are present on your homepage. These are prerequisites for AI visibility, not a guarantee of it.

Question 5

What does a full GEO audit add that this test does not?

Accepted Answer

This test asks one question once. A GEO audit from Geovise checks dozens of real customer questions across all three systems, maps where competitors are cited instead of you, reviews your entity signals and structured data in depth, and delivers a prioritised action plan.
